What's on Netflix: New Shows and Films for June 2022

Netflix is entering Pride month and the beginning of summer with a packed slate of content, which includes Season 3 of “The Umbrella Academy” and a host of taped specials from the streamer’s Netflix Is a Joke Festival, including “Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration,” which features a slew of heavy-hitters from the world of queer comedy.

On June 1, Netflix will debut a wide range of movie titles, including the first three “Mission Impossible” films, the 1989 classic “Steel Magnolias,” James Cameron’s “Titanic,” “The Amazing Spider-Man” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

Queer content that will join the platform this month includes Joel Kim Booster’s debut Netflix standup special, “Psychosexual,” the Polish drama series “Queen” and the 2019 indie “Straight Up.”

Other additions for the month of June include the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix original “Halftime” documentary, the SVOD debut of “Sing 2” and comedy specials that feature Bill Burr, David Letterman, Pete Davidson, Amy Schumer, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda. The sixth and final season of “Peaky Blinders” will premiere on June 10, and season 18 of “Grey’s Anatomy” will join the streamer on June 25.

Other Netflix originals debuting in June include the Melissa McCarthy-led comedy series “God’s Favorite Idiot,” thriller film “Spiderhead,” which stars Miles Teller and Chris Hemsworth, the new Adam Sandler film “Hustle” and the Rowan Atkinson-starring comedy film “Man Vs Bee.”
